Everything you might want to know before you book a blueprint.
What do I get?
A SketchUp model of your interior layout, a written build order, a buy list with approximate prices and source links, and tutorial suggestions for each major step. The Premium Build Plan adds electrical, plumbing, and ventilation design, a weight distribution estimate, and a one-hour video call.
How long does it take?
Layout Review: 2 to 3 business days. Build Blueprint: 1 to 2 weeks. Premium Build Plan: 2 to 3 weeks. Timelines start when I receive your input.
What if I don't have my van yet?
That's fine. Tell me what van you plan to buy and I'll design for that. If you're not sure which van to get, the Layout Review is a good place to start - I'll tell you what layout works for what kind of life you want to live.
What if my van dimensions are wrong?
If you provide dimensions and they're wrong, the SketchUp model won't fit your actual van. I'll tell you what I need and what I can deliver with what you have. For the Layout Review, rough dimensions are fine. For the Build Blueprint and Premium Build Plan, accurate dimensions matter more.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are available within 7 days of delivery if the blueprint doesn't match what was agreed. After 7 days, no refunds - the files have been delivered to you.
Do you build the van for me?
No. I deliver the blueprint - the plan, the model, the buy list. You build the van. I'm the architect, not the contractor.
Do you source or buy materials for me?
No. The buy list tells you what to buy and where, with approximate prices. You purchase and ship the materials.
What if I want changes after I see the blueprint?
Each package includes two rounds of adjustments to the existing blueprint based on your feedback. A major change that effectively creates a new blueprint is not a revision - it's a new quote. If you change your mind about the layout after seeing the blueprint, that's a new blueprint, not a revision.
Can I resell the blueprint?
No. You may not resell the blueprint to others. You may use it to build your van. I retain the right to show the work as sample work (anonymized) unless you request otherwise.
Do you do custom work?
Yes - custom projects (multiple van sizes, commercial-grade systems, custom furniture design, or repeatable layouts for a fleet) are priced per project after I review the scope. Contact me to discuss.
What doesn't this cover?
I don't do actual construction, sourcing or purchasing materials for you, revisions beyond the package scope, building the van for you, or custom work outside van interiors (exterior mods, engine work, suspension, etc.) unless I explicitly agree beforehand.
